Lex Leathem
Lex Leathem is the Director of OCSF’s Soccer Program. He attended Servite High School, where the team were 4x Trinity League Champions and CIF Division 1 Champions his senior year. After, he studied business at University of Colorado Boulder before coming back to home to pursue playing college soccer. On a scholarship, he played at Hope International University for 2 years, winning the GSAC twice and making 2 National NAIA appearances.
Lex started out his coaching journey 3 years ago at Orange Lutheran High School in a volunteer position. After graduating from Hope International University, he began coaching club soccer, and is currently on the coaching staff of his alma mater.
Lex’s coaching philosophy revolves around the simultaneous development of character and technical ability. He believes that sports are a tool to teach younger people important values and life lessons. He was inspired by his own coaches, and plans to do the same for the players he coaches.
While soccer is his all-time favorite sport, Lex also likes to watch football and enjoyed playing baseball as a kid.
